Welcome to the Monte Vista Elementary School and Film & Communication Magnet website. Our school embraces the whole child through project-based learning, art, science, and technology. We help students find their unique VOICE and empower them to share their stories. The purpose of this webpage is to provide parents, students, and our school community with easy access to a wealth of information on our school programs, policies, and activities. 

Monte Vista Elementary is a great place to grow and learn. Monte Vista Elementary School has been serving the Highland Park Community of Los Angeles for over 128 years! We proudly offer classes for kindergarten through 5th grade. Our teachers are committed to a high-quality learning experience focused on each child's individual needs. We strive to be creative and innovative in our instruction to engage students in their learning through project-based learning, arts, 21st Century skills, and differentiated instruction. 

Our primary goal at Monte Vista Elementary School is to help all students achieve their dreams and find success in pursuing life goals by finding their V.O.I.C.E. (Voice, Opportunities for All, Imagination, Collaboration, and Engagement). We are unconditionally committed to providing our students the best possible educational program to gain the skills that will allow them to succeed.
